This shows how much gold is on board, the integrity (health) of the ship, how many cannons and how many pirates they have. There are two ways to destroy enemy ships.

You can keep firing cannons from afar, and sink the ship by chipping away at its health bar. Alternatively, you can sail close to it and engage in ‘Close Combat’. Here, your pirates go on-board the enemy ship and eliminate their pirates. Once all the pirates have been eliminated, you receive all of the gold on board.Each time an enemy ship crosses parallel paths to you, they fire their cannons. Try and anticipate this to avoid getting hit.
