So this is my system: i5 3570K MSI z77A-G45 Rx 480 (crimson 16.7.3) Win 7 64. 8gb ddr3 Everytime i try to play ck2 after a certain amount of time ( 10 min or 75 min and i didn't find what is responsible of this gap) i get a 2sec black screen and then windows tells me that the game stopped responding and the amd display driver stopped responding and has recovered I tried to fix this problem.

Try looking at your error log to see exactly where the game is crashing (Documents/CK2/logs/). It may say it's crashing at processing flags, but it may be some other issue.Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. You may also try running the crusader kings exe as an administrator (it's a right click option).Make sure you are replacing your settings.txt file in DocumentsParadox InteractiveCrusader Kings II when you do your clean reinstall. You can also try altering settings.txt for graphics card stress (see ) and fiddling with turning off some of the other options in that section.Last resort, post at the Paradox Plaza Tech support forums with your logs, settings.txt and a dxdiag. They can give you more specific support.

I'd say over half of all problems with any Paradox game can be fixed by just verifying the cache. If you don't know how do that, just right-click CK2 in the Library Local Files Verify Integrity of Cache. You said you tried already to reinstall, and that's usually the second easy fix.Beyond that, I know for a fact that the game works with Windows 10 so that isn't the problem either. Only thing that comes to mind is that it's probably something do with your system such as drivers. If all else fails, try the Tech Support forum and remember to give them your PC specs.

Click to expand. This happens to me as well, but only if I click or press any key on the keyboard while it is loading. If I don't, it loads without any issues.Try starting it in windowed mode. Go to your DocumentsParadox InteractiveCrusader Kings II folder, then open settings.txt. Find the line that says 'fullScreen=yes', and change the 'yes' to 'no'.

Save the file, then try starting the game. If that doesn't work, you can access the technical support subforum by registering your game/linking your Steam account to your forum account. Then the subforums will be shown above the list of CK2 threads.

You'll need to register your game to gain access to the tech support forum. At the top of the page, mouse over your user name to see a menu then click on 'owned items'.

It should allow you to sync with steam or manually add your code to register the game.I'm not sure what could be causing your problem, I've run the game on both win7 and win10. Best to post in tech support at what point in the startup the game crashes along with your system specs (use dxdiag). As has been mentioned already, you could try updating drivers. Also, do the rest of your system specs meet the requirements? You'll need to register your game to gain access to the tech support forum.
