• Headphone Volume Too Low Windows 10 7

I've had this issue with the youtube audio being very low for a long time and it's starting to drive me to my limits. Basically what happens is, despite having set EVERY single option for volume on 100% (windows volume mixer, headset slider, youtube slider) the audio on chrome and most notably on YouTube is very low. With the mixer open the volume is always below 50%, usually around 10-40%, sometimes going over that if something very loud happens. The only fix I've found is enabling loudness equilization on my headset enhanchments, but then when I try to listen to do anything with loud sounds, like play a video game or listen to music, it just caps my audio to 40%. I don't want to have to enable and disable loudness equilization every time I want to watch some youtube videos.

If u do not have a dedicated audio card, then u have to update ur onboard realtek drivers.its ur only audio component and its not supposed to give u stable performance if the drivers are not updated.I had updated my realtek drivers from the laptop manufacturer's site, but that made no difference so I just uninstalled and went only with the Logitech drivers. I don't think it has to do with my audio card, the problem only exists on youtube and chrome in general. The same issue exists on Internet Explorer as well, but Windows Media Player, VLC and most applications I use work just fine.

Jun 10, 2019  the volume level for my headphones on my laptop suddenly became too low. Even at maximum volume, it is still way too soft to hear comfortably. This problem came up about a week ago. Before this problem came up, my headphones worked fine. I could set the volume to about 15/100 and it was already decently loud. Now, setting it to 100/100 is still soft. Was it ever working properly???i mean, was the sound loud enuf bfore and then deteriorated later on???do u recollect any kind of settings/specifications change around the time it started???a windows update maybe tht messed with audio.It used to work fine, but that was way back, maybe a year ago. I have changed my headset from back then but still nothing changed. I never changed my volume settings, always had everything on 100% and adjusted from my headset volume slider.

Also I have windows updates disabled, because I have had to format 2-3 times in the past because after a windows update my laptop would never boot. Also BIOS is updated, changing headset is not an option as I bought this for 80 euros and have them only for 6 months, which is not worth it. Also I did a clean install of Windows last week due to my faulty HDD and that didn't work either. I think I'll just accept the fact that chrome is faulty and doesn't want to play any louder than that.

After some recent upgrade to Windows 10, I've found that the headphone volume is way too low for me. I'm using Microsoft LX-3000 headsets, and have always really liked them.So I was really puzzled what makes the volume so low.The thing that's made the biggest difference for me is to enable loudness equalization in the properties of the device. For those that aren't sure how to do that, here's a quick set of screen shots:First we open sounds from the task bar by right-clicking the speaker icon:Then we go to the properties of the LX-3000:Finally, on the enhancements tab, enable the loudness equalization and OK.For me, this made a huge difference to the usability of the headphones.
