Walkthrough When you approach the Tower of Ishal, two allies (either a Circle mage and a guard, or two guards) will come running up to you, and they'll let you. Its happen to me in some parts of the game also, one of my way to bypass it is to change the default video setting; for example when your game crashes try changing the resolution, or try changing it to low quality, or try turning the v-sync or the frame buffer on or off.

Edit 10/28We thank everyone for their support of this mod all your comments and endorsements are amazing! Please read below before posting anything already answered here or on the description page.Questions, Bugs and Mod ConflictsQ: Will you make a male version? One that is for people who don't romance Alistair?A: Tinimaus and I are both Alistair lovers, yes, but this mod is considered finished by both of us. We released it for both males and females, from each race and every origin. However, we did not create this mod for an Alistair romance. That wouldn't make sense. You just met him at this point in the story and are battle buddies.

Two Grey Wardens fighting for each other and for Ferelden. For all of Thedas really. While it is about Alistair and the Warden, it's also about Ostagar and all the tragedy that went with it. We believe the scene with Alistair and the Warden in the Tower is open for interpretation. To relate to as you prefer, for your own personal character. It can be sweet and romantic if you'd like, or just showing his battle buddy care and concern, as you are both in a war zone, gravely injured and in mortal peril. We feel his behavior in that scene is showing his true nature, which is one of fierce passion and loyalty to fellow Grey Wardens.

If you disagree, that is fine, but we consider the mod finished as it meets the vision we had when we first came up with all the ideas to create it. It's not a point we care to debate and ask that you please respect that.Q: Can you install and play this if you are already past Ostagar?A: If you're already well past Ostagar, but still would love to try this mod out, just install it and load a save from before you light the beacon. It should run fine. The mod itself doesn't change anything about the vanilla storyline so it won't affect anything but the ending of Ostagar.KNOW MOD CONFLICTS-At this time we only know of two direct mod conflictsSkip Ostagar and Sapphos Daughters-While this mod can be used with the Skip Ostagar mod, if you use Skip Ostagar, the cutscenes with Alistair and the Warden in the tower will take place in whatever area you were in last, during your Origin story.

(ex: as a dwarf noble you'll be in the Deep Roads) This is due to how the game handles running cutscenes. It is not recommended that you use this mod and that mod together.-This mod conflicts with the mod Sapphos Daughters ('Origins' main file) due to the scene triggered with Raina in the Tower. You cannot use both mods at the same time. (thank you to ritchieblackmore for making us aware of this)Bugs:Depending on your character's face and/or the cosmetic mods you are using, you might notice the Warden's eyes not closing all the way. This is a bug with the vanilla animation, and is dependent on your morph. It is not due to our mod. We find it annoying too, but it's a bug.

I truly felt that this showed his caring side indeed, you guys did a great job in portraying this in a roughly 30 seconds cutscene And a sprinkle of his fear of ever being all alone again - even though he doesn't know of the tragedy quite yet. He was obviously troubled by the fact that Jory and Daveth didn't make it, I can easily imagine that he would think 'not her/him too'. He is fierce, caring, and loyal to a fault. I can't see him reacting in any other way, even if he only knows the other person casually (ie, for about a day at this point). I was just past Ostagar on this playthrough, but I did indeed reload my save from just before the beacon so that I could see this. ^^(which, btw, for anyone wondering: yep, it works I then simply reloaded my game from my latest save and kept going on my merry way. So much has already been written about this mod, and so aptly.

It feels difficult to add apropriately to it, being a non native speaker, too. Nevertheless, I want to try.Along with all the other haunting mods the both of you created, this work does not only intensify the emotional experience, it brings the story to perfection.

I do not think I need to write anything more about the feelings your cutscenes elicit (the general amount of sleep loss they cost speaks for itself). But in addition, there is so much well-grounded detail you weave into your work, overt, implied and even symbolical. Furthermore your visualisation is staggering; the arrangement of persons, objects and environments, the choice of lighting and angles.Perhaps one of the most compelling things you do is the way you treat continuity and forshadowing. For example, the female elf being dragged away by darkspawn, not the male. Or Flemeth assessing Alistair's protective body position, possibly the moment she decides her plan might work with these two wardens. In the comments below it is repeatedly written that your mods merge seemlessly with the original game, and this is absolutely true. I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of time and effort you put into your work.Thank you for sharing it with us. I couldn't get this one to fire for me and I'm not using Skip Ostagar or Sapphos Daughters.

I've never used them, in fact. I've got a conflict somewhere. If I manage to nail down what's causing the problem I'll come back and post so others can keep an eye out for the same.I have a convenient save so if I need to juggle mods then I will - it's worth it.:)Edit: This is nothing short of incredible. I'm still trying to find the problem child that's keeping this from working but I did get it to run.

My Warden and Alistair were both really, really naked with body mods. And let's just say it was awkward because of the settings. Even as crazy as all that was, the scenes drew me in every bit as if they were straight from DA:O's original creators or Inquisition. Just stunning. Now to find out where the heck my problem is and I'll do one more edit.Edit 2: It's inexplicably working with all my mods.

Either my computer hiccuped, the game had a gremlin or there was a short between the computer chair and the keyboard. Whichever the case I'm running Qwinn's bug fixes which alters a lot of things to repair the vanilla game. It plays nice with this mod so I'll just scratch my head on what I did wrong and once again say 'Thank you for this mod!' I just decided on a new play-though and even though something is glitchy AF in Ostagar for me (Win10, even with compatibility mode, does not seem to like DAO AND there is a mod conflict somewhere I can't find even though I know the configs are good from previous builds).

That said, THIS MOD was worth the glitchy Ostagar! OMG, I squeaked several times through it. This is SO worth an immersion mod that it should simply be part of the game. Kudos and high praise to all! In fact, going to go watch it (and squeak) again.

Maker help me, this just makes my heart ache and now I'm thinking this play-through is definitely an Alistair LI run.

Dragon Age: Origins - Main Quest - The Tower of Ishal 2/2The Tower of Ishal was to play a vital role in the Battle for Ostagar. King Cailan personally requested that The Warden and Alistair be responsible for lighting the beacon at the top of the tower that would alert Loghain's forces to come support the king and the other Grey Wardens.Make your way across the bridge to the base of the Tower of Ishal. If you don't want to get knocked down by flaming rocks, go slowly and pause before crossing a new section of the bridge, but other than sending you flying they don't seem to do much damage. At the base of the tower, you will be met by a Tower Guard who will tell you that the Tower has been overrun by darkspawn who have come up from some recently discovered lower tunnels (you may have heard about these if you talked to the guard by the Tower earlier). If you are a mage, the Tower Guard and a Soldier will now join your party. If you are a human noble (and so have Dog in your party), you will be joined only by a Circle Mage.

Otherwise, the Tower Guard and a Circle Mage will join you. See the Temporary Companions section for more information.Make your way into the Tower grounds: there are a number of genlocks and hurlocks fighting some soldiers.
